| Q. How can I get a copy of my GED transcript or certificate? |
| If you took the GED exams in Oregon, you can obtain a copy of your
GED transcripts and certificate by contacting the State Board of Education.
You can pick up a copy at the State Office in Salem or request a copy through the
mail (transcripts will not be faxed). Request a copy of your GED test records in the
"Transcripts or Certificates"
section of the State Board of Education website.

| Q. How much does the GED test cost? |
| The cost of the GED tests varies slightly at different locations
around the state. The cost includes two fees: (a) the State fee
which is $25 and (b) the site fee which usually ranges between
$75 - $100. The total fee should be approximately $100 - $125.
You must contact each testing center to find out their exact charges.

| Q. What scores do I need to pass?? |
| In Oregon, you must receive a minimum standard score of 410 on
EACH of the five tests.

You may take (and retake) a test up to three times per
year (January 1 to December 31), based on the number of standard
forms available each contract year.

GED scores are valid for THREE years from the date of the
FIRST test taken.

NO! Currently the GED tests are NOT offered online.
The GED exams must be taken at an official state
testing site.

All testing records are forwarded to the State GED Program office.
When ALL the requirements for issuance of a GED certificate
have been met, a GED certificate will be issued by the Department of
Community Colleges and Workforce Development
